At Diana's Kids, we believe that every child deserves a safe and nurturing environment to thrive. Our mission is to provide a space where children can learn, play, and discover their unique potential.
Diana's Kids Philosophy
Our Philosophy
At Diana's Kids, our program is an open-minded, exploratory method of early childhood learning that encourages diversity, flexibility and relationship building. We believe that high quality, developmentally appropriate programs should be available to all children and their families and should be applied to the four components of Early Childhood programs: curriculum, adult-child interactions, relations between home and the program, and a responsive environment of children.
We see children as highly competent individuals and consider them to be "knowledge bearers". They are encouraged to share their thoughts and ideas about everything they could meet or do during the day.
Influenced by this belief, the child is beheld as beautiful, powerful, competent, creative, curious and full of potential and ambitions desires.
We know learning happens while doing, not memorizing. At Diana's Kids, children learn through experience: touching, tasting, smelling; sing all of their senses to communicate and absorb the wonders of their world.
We strive to make Diana's Kids Daycare a home away from home for the children.
The calm, natural environment allows children to remain focused on their own emotions, thinking and exploring.
Our program will use the Flight - Alberta's Early Learning and Child Care Curriculum Framework as our primary curriculum and program guide. We believe that Flight and all other pieces of curriculum that we implement, reflect the Principles of quality in child care.
